One thing about switching platforms is that I don't recognize everyone, and that there are new people that maybe I'm meeting for the first time.

I don't always follow people I don't recognize back, but:

- If we know each other from Tumblr or Twitter (or somewhere else), drop me a line! I'll feel silly and do the thing!
- New folks: please interact! That way I'll have an opportunity to get to know you.
- You're welcome to lurk. Lurking is totally allowed.

*waves* I'm niqaeli pretty much everywhere that I'm not operating under my wallet name (which isn't a secret but I do maintain a layer of separation XD) as I am fulllll of inertia and, uh, well at this point I have 16 years of history under this name. FYI, niqaeli is properly never capitalised, and neither is niq, because brains are weird and LJ architecture was what it was back in 2002 and here we are.

It's been so delightful to see the resurgence in activity and all the new folks from Tumblr! I'm ensconced on DW for the long haul, come hell or low posting volume, but it's been really neat to see people discovering/rediscovering the merits of this platform. :D

(Hi okay so worth noting, I am kind of a Twu Beweiva in DW even if I try to be generally lowkey and non-evangelic about it because no one likes an evangelist. ^^; But I was a Twu Beweiva in LJ before they broke my heart and DW has gone to the heart of everything I ever believed in about LJ and stuck hard to their principles, so. Yeah. I mean also I'm friends with a ton of volunteers and also one of the founders but that's not actually why I Belieeeeeeve. *hands* Anyway! Like I said, I try not to evangelise, but it's probably worth knowing as a general background thing about me. XD)
